Things to do
The
Kingdom of Tonga, inhabited by the "Friendly Islanders", is a South
Pacific paradise with much to discover.
There are palm-fringed beaches to rainforests,
to diving and lagoons and warm blue water with plenty of marine life.
The
Kingdom is made up of several island groups, from Tongatapu with its outlying
islands, to the long sandy beaches of Ha'apai, and to Vava'u - the "Pearl
of the Pacific" with its beautiful harbour the Port of Refuge - a great
destination for yachties.
Tonga is
not a mass-tourism destination like Fiji or Hawaii, it's real: a tangible
land of polynesian culture, adventure, history and unspoilt beauty.
A list
of things to do in Tonga may go something like this: snorkelling, diving,
bushwalking, swimming, mountain biking, gamefishing, choir trips, tongan
feasts, caving, surfing, island daytrips, whale watching, kayaking, rock
climbing, and discovering ancient and natural wonders such as the blowholes,
Lapaha tombs and the Trilithon.
We can
arrange any of these activities and more. Simply contact us!
The
Royal Residences such as the Royal Palace are sights to see. There are many
excellent restaurants and entertaining clubs and nightclubs. There are many
opportunities for Tongan feasts, kava ceremonies, and traditional dancing as
well. The domestic airlines of Tonga
offer flights to the idyllic Eua, Ha'apai and Vava'u islands.
